That was the best week yet in my opinion. I still only managed to get to the gym twice, but both times felt like really good work outs. I tried the treadmill some more, however this time I was able to sustain a steady trot for about 13 minutes. I was pooched afterwards but it felt really good and my legs were pretty wobbly.
Food was another plus for the week; I conquered temptation a couple of time by either drinking water or reading the nutritional breakdown and deciding if it was really worth it.
Over the weekend I controlled my self with only two beers, both of which where light, and half a can root beer. Eating on the weekends has been challenging, simply because I am never in the mood to cook a real meal. For two weekends now I have treated myself to Subway, choosing healthy alternative like mustard rather than mayo. It’s a nice treat and fills me up.
However this is exactly what I have been waiting for. I didn’t drop a single pound all week. After all the good eating and decent working out I have no change to report. It’s sad but I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I’m not going to let it get me down though.
I do feel better so far, I don’t know if I can honestly say that I see a change in my body while looking in the mirror, but I feel my muscles more. If anything I think my chest is looking a little less flabby, but it may just be in my mind. My wife says my face is looking slimmer, so at least someone has noticed.
Just to make it official the weigh in this morning was 174lbs, down 0lbs for the week and a total of 10lbs from the start.
Got to keep on working!
